Snavemij.com is the personal website of Jim Evans. In case you didn't notice, snavemij is jimevans spelled backwards. There's a list of things every man should be able to do, which at some point will be expanded to include links on how to do those things. My photo portfolio is also online, with primarily landscapes - regular and infrared - taken in the US and Mexico. There's a large section on Northern Michigan, Watervale, Benzie County Michigan and the surrounding cities of Frankfort, Elberta and Beulah. I've included photos, both normal and infrared, that I've taken in the area. There are also some photos of the Northern Lights taken in July of 2004. Watervale is a wonderful place, and as Trish said lo these many years ago, it is my Mecca. Watervale is the only place I dream about on a regular basis. The petoskey stones I've found are close to sacred to me. Also included is a bathymetry poster of Lake Michigan with interesting facts. There's a link to an article about the quagga and zebra mussels and what they're doing to the lake, as well as a History of Herring Lake pdf file. Two theories about the Singing Sands of Lake Michigan are posted, as well as a recounting of the storm that sunk the Marinette in 1886, including still shots from a video of the ship in about 15 feet of water.

I'll also be expanding a section that is pro-father. This will include reviews of books, movies, TV shows, and web sites.
